Tate Mcrae is a 21 year old pop singer/songwriter and dancer from Calgary, Canada, but currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She started her career at 13 years old by posting youtube videos of her singing her self written songs that she used to express herself. Many young girls realized the talent she had and how much they can relate to her music. Now, people of all ages from across the world know her name. Mcrae is now one of the biggest growing superstars. She went from posting on social media, to topping charts worldwide and winning several music awards, in just a short amount of time. Fans say she is going to be the next Britney Spears. She takes her amazing dance moves and puts them into amazing choreography’s for her shows, while also singing live, rarely lip syncing.
Mcrae has had a passion for performing arts since a young age. Her mother was a dance instructor which had a big influence on her love for the arts. Not only does Mcrae have an exceptional voice, but her dance moves are out of this world as well. It all started when her mother enrolled her in dance classes where she would excel in many different dance categories such as jazz, ballet, and contemporary. At the age of 13, she was the first Canadian to participate in the reality TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance?”. She finished third place on the final episode of season thirteen.
Going on this show opened several doors for her in the world of entertainment. She only got better as time went on.
In 2019, her first big hit, “One Day,” started gaining popularity. Many of her fans resonated with the song’s lyrics. From there, she released several other singles that all hit the top of the charts. Her breakthrough into the music world was in 2020 when she released, “You Broke Me First.” This song reached number one in several different countries, and had millions of streams on apple music and Spotify. Her music career grew from there and is currently at its highest peak right now.
Mcare has been on her Think Later tour since April of this year, and will continue into 2025. Being busy with sold out shows from North America, and Asia, to Europe and currently Australia, she still is working on new music. Her latest single, “2 Hands,” was released on November 14 2024, and is already a huge hit.
