Majority of Bluestreaks are already aware of who their next president is going to be, but what they do not know is how this may affect their future. One of the biggest concerns on President Donald Trump’s plan is education. This could potentially be a very positive aspect for those that live in Lake and attend the school. He hopes to increase spending for public schools massively by cutting out unneeded expenses in other places. So far, they have picked out 3 trillion in federal spending that is unnecessary and would better benefit the public school system. Lake would be one of the schools to get assistance due to the funding issues we have previously faced.

Another monumental update for our country is Ohio’s representative in Senate. Sherrod Brown used to be the senator, but this year voters put their faith in Bernie Moreno. In the House of Representatives, Republicans took control with 10 Republican representatives and 5 Democratic representatives. The Supreme Court was won by Joe Deters a Republican, with very slim margins.

An issue that was a concern in Ohio was Issue number one. This called for a change in the constitution to create a group of 15 people. There would be five republicans, five democrats, and 5 independent  representatives. They would be tasked with the job of drawing lines for congressional and state districts. Due to Ohio’s conservative views, the policy was changed. This is because they do not favor a change in government laws or documents.

No matter what side you support, we are all Lake Bluestreaks. The main thing that matters in this world is being kind and caring to everyone you meet. We are all human and should be able to give each other the max amount of respect possible, no matter their political views.
